Seller Central Now Runs Walmart and TikTok Orders. Should You?
If you sell on Amazon and somewhere else, you already know the routine. Four dashboards, four order queues, inventory that is right on one channel and wrong on two others, and a spreadsheet at midnight trying to work out which channel actually made money.

At Accelerate 2026, its seller conference in Seattle in September, Amazon announced multichannel selling tools that pull eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop and Walmart into Seller Central. As reported by Value Added Resource and confirmed in Amazon's own Accelerate recap, the tools are free and rolling out gradually to US sellers over the coming months, so check whether your account has them yet.
What can Amazon's multichannel tools do right now?
As of October 2026, Amazon describes the launch set like this:
Connect your outside marketplace and store accounts to Seller Central.
Import listings from those channels and link them to your Amazon listings.
See orders from connected channels in Manage Orders, whether or not Amazon fulfills them.
Fulfill those orders through Amazon's Multi Channel Fulfillment network if you choose.
View sales and profitability across connected channels in Seller Central reporting, combining sales, ad spend and traffic data, as reported.
Amazon has also described features that are not live yet, including editing a product description once and having it reformatted for linked listings on other channels, and generative AI that drafts titles and details for those marketplaces. Treat those as announced, not shipped.
What do you give up by connecting your other channels?
Visibility. Amazon says off Amazon data stays secure and private, that you choose which channels to connect, that you can disconnect at any time, and that the data is not shared with other sellers or used to inform its retail business decisions.
Commentators have pointed out what that statement leaves open. Marketplace Pulse, as cited by Value Added Resource, noted that Amazon has long been able to watch your prices on other sites, but a connected account also shows it your sales volume there. For a brand where Walmart or your own Shopify store carries real margin, that is a strategic decision, not a settings toggle.
Who should connect, and who should wait?
Connect if your other channels are small, mostly fulfilled by FBA inventory already, and the main cost today is your time. One order queue is worth more than the data you are protecting.
Test with one channel if Walmart or TikTok Shop is growing fast. Connect it, run it for a month and compare the reporting to what you already track.
Wait if your own Shopify store is your highest margin channel, or if your off Amazon pricing strategy is something you would not want a marketplace to see in detail.
Either way, keep a source of truth outside Amazon. If an account review or suspension ever freezes Seller Central, you do not want your Walmart operation frozen with it.
That last point gets missed. Concentrating every channel inside one platform is efficient right up to the day that platform locks you out. Dedicated multichannel management software remains the independent option, and you can run both while you decide.
How does this fit with the rest of your Q4 operation?
The honest answer for most sellers is: not yet. October and November are the worst time to rewire order routing. If the tools appear in your account during peak, connect read only where you can, learn the reporting, and leave fulfillment logic alone until January.
Amazon is clearly building Seller Central into an AI assisted operating system for the whole business. We looked at the wider set of tools doing that job in our breakdown of AI tools for managing an Amazon store in 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which channels can I connect to Amazon Seller Central?
At launch Amazon supports eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop and Walmart, as announced at Accelerate 2026 in September. Amazon has said more channels will be added over time.
How much do Amazon's multichannel selling tools cost?
Amazon says the tools come at no additional cost to sellers. Fulfilling outside orders through Multi Channel Fulfillment is still billed at MCF rates, so check current fees in Seller Central.
Are the multichannel tools available in my account yet?
They are rolling out gradually to US sellers, as of October 2026, so not every account has them. Look for the option in Seller Central and confirm the features shown there rather than relying on launch coverage.
Does Amazon use my Walmart or Shopify data?
Amazon says connected channel data is not shared with other sellers or used to inform its retail business decisions, and that you can disconnect at any time. Commentators note it still gives Amazon visibility into your sales volume on those channels, so weigh that before connecting a high margin channel.
Do I have to use FBA to fulfill orders from other channels?
No. Orders from connected channels appear in Manage Orders whether or not Amazon fulfills them. Multi Channel Fulfillment is an option, not a requirement.
Can I edit listings on Walmart and eBay from Seller Central?
Not fully yet. As of October 2026 Amazon has announced single edit descriptions that update linked listings and AI generated listing content for other marketplaces as future features, not as part of the launch set.
Should I connect all my channels during Q4?
Most sellers are better off learning the reporting during peak and changing order routing in January, when a mistake costs less. If you want help deciding which channels to connect, talk to AMZ Expert about your setup.
Summary
Amazon's free multichannel tools bring eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop and Walmart orders into Seller Central and can save real hours, but they also give Amazon a complete view of your business. Connect small channels where time is the bottleneck, think hard before connecting your highest margin channel, and avoid rewiring fulfillment in the middle of Q4.
